By - President Donald Trump’s threatened tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico are expected to take effect tomorrow, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed today. Goods from China could be subjected to a 10% tariff, while those from Mexico and Canada could come under tariffs of 25%. Trump said yesterday that he’s “in the process” of implementing the trade sanctions on China and left the door open to including oil in those tariffs.
- Trump continues to deal with fallout over his implication yesterday that diversity, equity and inclusion programs could have been the cause of Wednesday night’s plane crash. Separately, his Defense Intelligence Agency activities related to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Black History Month and other such observances as part of the administration’s efforts to scrap federal diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
