- Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual end-of-year news conference and phone-in is being held in Moscow on Thursday.
- The carefully choreographed event is held in an exhibition hall opposite the Kremlin, in a specially built TV studio packed with video screens and electronic tickers.
- Putin traditionally discusses a range of subjects during the marathon event. Last year he talked about the economy, relations with the west and China, and the war in Ukraine.
- NBC News’ Keir Simmons is among several local journalists and foreign correspondents attending the four-hour marathon, which also includes a phone-in featuring questions from members of the public.
